Billy Joel Extends Aid to Ukraine

Billy Joel is extending a helping hand to help the refugees in Ukraine with a big donation to Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel and her BStrong charity.

Joel’s foundation is donating $250,000 to the cause. The monies will be allocated to provide aid aid to refugees at the Ukrainian/Polish border.

“Our initial donation will be $250,000 to the BStrong Foundation started by Bethenny Frankel and in partnership with Global Empowerment Mission. BStrong has been instrumental in providing direct and immediate aid to refugees at the Ukrainian/Polish border,” Joel said in a statement. “Through BStrong’s coordinated infrastructure, our donation will supply critical evacuee aid, including food relief, short and long-term shelter, transportation to points throughout Europe, and survival supply kits (blankets, sleeping bags, toiletry kits, non-perishables, water, plus generators). 100% of donations go to the relief.”
