Where Does New Jersey Rank for 4th of July Fun?

The countdown for Fourth of July is on as Americans prepare for beaches, barbecues, celebrations and fireworks. To commemorate the holiday weekend, Wallethub compiled a survey of the top 100 cities in the United States to celebrate, and let’s just say New Jersey didn’t fare very well.

Out of 100 cities, Jersey City was second worst in the nation, followed closely by Newark. The only city worse than us was San Bernardino, California. Philadelphia did a little better, ranking at 45.

So what city ranked first? That would be San Francisco, followed by Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Atlanta , Las Vegas , New York City, San Diego , Seattle, Orlando and New Orleans.

Just how did Wallethub compile this list? Each state was ranked by public fanfare and fireworks, affordability, attractions and activities ,weather, and safety and accessibility, which includes COVID-19 vaccinations in the area.
