New Def Leppard Book Out This Week
Fans of Def Leppard can learn the history of the band told in their own words outlined in a new book, “Defintely: The Official Story of Def Leppard.”
Released this week (June 13), the book narrated by the band in their own words, illustrated with photography and memorabilia from the Def Leppard archives.
The book chronicles Def Leppard’s story, from their humble beginnings rehearsing in a spoon factory in Sheffield, to recording ground-breaking multi-platinum albums and touring sell-out stadiums around the world.
“We had balls and we were naive, in a good way,” writes lead singer Joe Elliott. “We just went out there, full throttle.”
The book takes the readers through the ups and downs of the band, including drummer Rick Allen’s car accident in 1984 that left him with a severed arm.
“It was unimaginable,” writes Elliott in the new book “Definitely: The Official Story of Def Leppard.” “For two or three hours, we assumed that Rick would have to leave the band. Because there’s no such thing as a one-armed drummer.”
The book is available now.
