Light of Day Announces Winterfest 2022; Tickets On Sale Nov. 11

 The Light of Day Foundation will present its annual music festival, WinterFest 2023, from January 7-20 in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Montclair, Philadelphia, New York City and Rockland County.

The main event honoring Light of Day founder Bob Benjamin--“Bob’s Birthday Bash” will take place on Saturday, January 14 at the Count Basie Center’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre. Past performers included Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny Lyon,  Michael J. Fox, Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, Joe D’Urso, Willie Nile, James Maddock, Jesse Malin, Darlene Love, Gary U.S. Bonds, Max Weinberg, LaBamba’s Big Band, Jakob Dylan, Ed Kowalczyk (Live), Suzanne Vega, Jake Clemons, David Bryan (Bon Jovi), David Bromberg, John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Alejandro Escovedo, Peter Asher, Joey Molland (Badfinger), Garland Jeffries, Lucinda Williams, Lisa Lowell, Nicole Atkins, The Smithereens, Mike Peters and Pete Yorn.

“23 years of Light of Day shows spanning the globe from Asbury Park to Rome to Los Angeles to London to Philadelphia to Stockholm and beyond, is simply amazing,” said Benjamin. “I cannot wait for this year’s Light of Day WinterFest with two weeks of shows burning up the boardwalk culminating to celebrate my birthday in Red Bank. Other venues hosting LOD WinterFest 2023 shows include: Asbury Park’s The Stone Pony, Wonder Bar, The Saint, McLoone’s Supper Club, Langosta Lounge, Watermark, AP Yacht Club, Asbury Hotel, Asbury Lanes; Outpost In The Burbs in Montclair; and City Winery in Manhattan, World Café Live in Philadelphia and Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, NY. All performances and events will raise money and awareness for in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and its related illnesses ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). The festival, which debuted in 2000, has raised raised approximately $6.2 million to combat Parkinson’s disease, ALS and PSP.

Tickets for “Bob’s Birthday Bash”, ticket combo packages and select individual venue events go on sale on Friday, November 11 at 10:00 am ET and will available via theBASIE.org, the Basie Center box office onsite at 99 Monmouth Street in Red Bank, and through Ticketmaster.com.

Ticket prices for WinterFest range from $60-$415 with various multi-tiered packages being offered: “On-Stage All-Access”, “Platinum All-Access”, “Gold All-Access”, “Silver All-Access”, “Bronze All-Access” and “Super Savers Bob’s Birthday Bash Only”.
