Foreigner Records New Version of ’80s Ballad for Netflix Film

Foreigner has been busy in quarantine, recently recording a new version of “I Want to Know What Love Is’ for the trailer of the new Netflix movie, The Lovebirds.

The track includes work by Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones and three other members of the group’s current lineup — singer Kelly Hansen, guitarist Bruce Watson and keyboardist Michael Bluestein — recording their parts in a responsible, socially distant manner.

The film stars Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani as a bickering couple whose lives take an abrupt turn when they become witnesses to a murder and are framed for the crime. The movie is streaming now on Netflix.
