ZZ Top Tops Billboard Hard Rock Sales Chart
ZZ Top is burning up the Billboard charts due to renewed interest in the band following the passing of bassist Dusty Hill.
The band’s 1974 hit “La Grange” hit the number one spot–the band’s first–of Billboard‘s latest Hard Rock Digital Song Sales, with 1,600 units sold, according to MRC Data.
Also in the top 10–1983’s “Sharp Dressed Man” at #2, 1975’s “Tush” at #5, and 1983’s “Gimme All Your Lovin'” at #6. ZZ Top’s 2019 hits compilation Goin’ 50 entered Billboard‘s Hard Rock Albums chart at #5 and the Top Rock Albums total at #20 after earning 8,400 album-equivalent units.
Hill passed away at the age of 72 on July 28.
