‘World’s Largest” Go-Kart Track Announces Grand Opening in Edison

The “world’s largest” indoor go-kart course–Supercharged Entertainment–is set to open its second U.S. location in Edison, and the moment will be commemorated with a grand-opening ribbon cutting event with state and civic leaders on Thursday, December 15 at 11a.m. at the 131,000-square-foot complex on Route 1 in Edison.

The track will open to the public Dec. 16 at its location at 987 US Route 1 in Edison, right next door to Top Golf.

In addition to the world’s largest indoor, multi-level, temperature-controlled Karting Track with two uniquely designed tracks which can be combined into one 80,000 square-foot Supertrack, 16-acre complex also features 19 lanes of Luxury Axe Throwing with spacious private lounge seating, food and bar service, and interactive projection targets and competitive games which make it fun for everyone, with no skill or experience required.

The facility also houses a two-story Arcade & Gaming Area which boasts nearly 160 games, including several Virtual Reality experiences such as The Big Ride and King Kong Skull, and an expansive Prize Center.

As for rides, the center boasts a Drop & Twist Tower, which is described as a “two-story attraction that spins, drops, passes through all floors of the facility while the rider views the wonders of all that Supercharged Entertainment Edison has to offer.” Additionally, there is a Bionic Bumper Cars arena, a full-service restaurant–“Burgers & Brews” –serving burgers, fresh-cut french fries, and milkshake mugs. For those over 21, there are two-full service bars in “a sports bar setting with TVs and big screens.”

Supercharged Edison will have high-performance electric racing machines with no carbon emissions.  The machines come equipped with two independent traction control 8 HP motors, lithium ion batteries for long-lasting performance, hydraulic brakes and a boost button.

Supercharged Entertainment Edison, NJ, is the second United States location for the company, with its flagship location in New England in Wrentham, MA just a few minutes south of Gillette Stadium. The choice of Edison, New Jersey is the inspiration of Stephen and Sandra Sangermano who serve as the company’s President and CEO.
