Wawa Announces Hurricane Ian Relief Campaign
Wawa and The Wawa Foundation have launched a chain-wide, in-store fundraising campaign in partnership with the American Red Cross designed to provide disaster relief assistance to communities most affected by Hurricane Ian, launching today (Oct. 4) through Oct. 16.
Customers can to contribute to Hurricane Ian disaster relief by adding $1, $3, or $5 to their Wawa purchase at checkout, the company announced. The Wawa Foundation will be matching the first $250,000 in customer contributions to the campaign. The campaign will run in all of Wawa’s more than 970 stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Washington, DC. All donations made through The Wawa Foundation’s campaign will be donated to the Red Cross and will be designated specifically for Hurricane Ian disaster relief efforts. These funds will be used to help the Red Cross provide immediate and vital support to those communities suffering from the effects of Hurricane Ian.
