Country superstar Luke Bryan surprised the audience at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel Sunday night (July 18) by inviting special guest star Dave Bryan of Bon Jovi to join him for an encore of the band’s iconic song, “Livin’ On A Prayer.”

Bryan sat in on the song on keyboards, but the American Idol judge coaxed the Tony Award Winning musician–whose musical, “Diana” is set to debut on Netflix and will open on Broadway in November– front and center to lead the audience in song, ending with both men embracing each other at the end.

Bryan is a huge fan of Bon Jovi, and recently performed the song on the American Idol finale with Idol fan favorite Casey Bishop. He also closed out his show in a pre-Covid performance at the BB&T Center in Camden in 2019.
