Tom Petty Wildflowers Documentary Now Available on YouTube Originals

Tom Petty fans can now view the feature-length documentary Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of Wildflowers with the world premiere today (Nov. 11) on  YouTube Originals.

Produced by Peter Afterman with executive producers Dan Braun,  Adria Petty and Director Mary Wharton, the 89-minute movie captures the period of 1993-1995 when Petty worked with legendary producer Rick Rubin for the first time.

The film also includes never-before-seen footage drawn from a newly discovered archive of 16mm film in addition to new interviews with album co-producer and Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell, Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and many more.

The picture also digs deeper into 2020’s critically acclaimed certified gold reissue Wildflowers & All The Rest collection, distributed via Warner Records.

Petty passed away at age 66 of an accidental medication overdose on October 2, 2017.
