Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Announce New Venue For Ceremony
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2021 Induction Ceremony will have a new venue this year.
The event is set to take place at the Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on October 30, according to CEO Greg Harris.
The arena, held at the arena, which is the home of NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Rock Hall has struck a deal with the pro basketball team to have the venue host the event for multiple years, he said. Ticket information will be made available in July.
The inductees will be announced in May. Up for eligibility are: Todd Rundgren, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, Iron Maiden, The Go-Go’s, Devo, New York Dolls, Tina Turner, Kate Bush, Mary J. Blige, JAY-Z, Chaka Khan, Carole King, the late Fela Kuti, LL Cool J and Dionne Warwick.
Fans can participate in the fan vote at Rockhall.com. Currently, Fela Kuti leads in the votes, with Tina Turner in second place, followed by the Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden and The Go-Go’s.
