Robert Plant Talks Free Weed With Willie Nelson in New Podcast

Some people give away cucumbers and tomatoes from their gardens. Willie Nelson gives weed.

Robert Plant‘s Digging Deep podcast revealed just how generous the Farm Aid founder is on tour.

Says the Led Zeppelin icon: “We played with Willie Nelson a couple — three months ago. He was traveling through his outlaw tour with his big bus, giving away weed to everybody; and also rolling machines a lot. . .  Y’know, free: ”Here, have some of Willie’s weed!’ He just gives it away. It’s a truckload from here to the mirror ball and beyond — free — with doors to go in, get your little hit, lid, and go out the other side.”

Plant’s Plant‘s double-disc solo compilation, Digging Deep, arrives on Oct. 2. The collection ties in with the third season of his critically acclaimed podcast of the same name, and includes three previously unreleased songs.

Nelson –and his virtual weed–will perform for Farm Aid on Sept. 26. Farm Aid 2020 On the Road will stream live in HD at farmaid.org, from 8pm – 11pm EDT on its YouTube Channel.
