Robert Plant, Bono, Joan Jett Unite to Help MusiCares
Covid 19 has hit the music community hard, and MusiCares, the non-profit organization that provides assistance to artists in need, is in need of funding.
Robert Plant, Tony Iommi, Bono and other artists are donating signed items that are going up for auction to benefit MusiCares and its COVID-19 relief fund.
The Led Zeppelin vocalist and the Black Sabbath lead guitarist have contributed a Gibson SG Standard ’61 guitar autographed by both artists, while the U2 frontman sent in a handwritten lyric sheet for the band’s song “Love Is Bigger than Anything in its Way.”
Additional items donated by the estate of the late Tom Petty, Ozzy Osbourne, Coldplay, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Depeche Mode, Carlos Santana, Joan Jett, Patti Smith, and The Rolling Stones‘ Ronnie Wood will also go up for auction.
Julien’s Auctions will host the bidding, which begins online on August 17, followed by a live event September 9 in Beverly Hills, California. For more info, visit JuliensAuctions.com.
