Record Store Day to Offer Releases by Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, U2
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for record collectors! Record Store Day will be taking place on Black Friday, Nov. 26, and will offer tidings of great joy with releases from Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, U2, and more.
Aerosmith fans will want to dig in to an early look at the group with 1971: The Road Starts Here, featuring a previously unheard early recording of the band playing several songs in their rehearsal room, including “Dream On.” It’s available on vinyl and cassette.
Osbourne’s 1991 solo album No More Tears will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a 12-inch picture disc.
U2 is issuing a pretty, yellow vinyl four-track EP celebrating the 40th anniversary of its MTV hit “Gloria.” The disc will feature the studio version of the song, plus three live renditions recorded in three different decades.
Other treats coming on Record Store Day include: Alice Cooper, David Crosby & Graham Nash, The Kinks‘ Dave Davies, Lana Del Rey, Dio, Dire Straits, Evanescence, Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Jorma Kaukonen, LA Guns, Little Feat, Motörhead, Night Ranger, Poison, Puscifer, Lou Reed, Bush‘s Gavin Rossdale, Todd Rundgren, Spoon, Stray Cats, Joe Strummer, Tesla and Heart‘s Nancy Wilson.
