Kevin Kelly’s Salon’s 4th Fashion Show –attended by local celebrity News 12 personalities Syma Chowdhry and Lauren Due, as well as New Housewives cast member Tiffany Chantell-Rosania— raised $5,000 for Hazlet’s Hope Network, a non-profit dedicated to uniting the skills and experience of recovery teams with patients seeking lifesaving changes from substance use disorder through long term treatment.

Before the fashion show, a video highlighting the mission of Hazlet’s Hope Network was screened, and Cabral warmly embraced founders Phil and Laura O’Hara, who thanked the salon for choosing them as this year’s charity and spoke briefly of how the organization helps those suffering from addiction get financial assistance for treatment and that crucial time once completed..

Hazlet Hope provides a peer-to-peer support system to the Bayshore area that effectively equips a person with substance misuse disorders, family members, local community members, and school educators with the resources that will promote long-term recovery, and help communities overcome the battle against addiction, according to its website.

“Laura is a long time client of the salon, but aside from that, she has helped the community really so much and is just such a generous person,” Kelly tells 1071 The Boss. ” A lot of people don’t know this about me, but I grew up with a father who struggled. Laura has helped some close friends of mine and anything I’ve ever needed as far as those or even more, she’s always been there. And like I said, she supports me and I wanted to support her back. And we have something in common that touches both of our hearts. So I think it was a great pick for this year.”

Cabral, who embraced her second year as host, praised the event and Kelly’s dedication to local causes.

“I think today was a lot of fun. Everybody’s out here, just look at that smiling. Everybody’s having a good time and we’re doing something wonderful for a great organization that not many people may have known about,” she tells 1071 The Boss.

The cause, she said, “hits home.”

“I had a cousin that passed away from addiction,” she said. “I love what (Phil) does. Not everybody has to show kindness and do their life’s work, trying to make the world a little bit better.”

” I think that something like Hazlet’s Hope Network needs to be in every state and in every police department. It bridges the gap for people suffering from addiction. They shouldn’t belong in jail. They should get help. And I think what Hazlet’s Hope does is phenomenal.”

Since working with Kelly last August for his 3rd Annual Fashion show, Cabral has developed a friendship with the young businessman, and revealed that the salon will get love in the upcoming season of Real Housewives of New Jersey in the confessionals.

“I liked Kevin and I liked what he did. And I’m always all about, there’s a lane for everybody, so why not? The more the merrier,” she said. “Kevin and Kayla (Hartman Hall) did my hair and makeup for some confessionals this year.”

Kelly said that he is comfortable working with Cabral, and the two have become friends since last year’s show.

“Danielle and I have really grown a, a great relationship. It’s not just work, but I guess I could say friends, too, “He said. “She’s amazing to work with. Always very supportive and anything I do. She actually comes and gets her hair done at the salon. She’s been very supportive of the salon. Se does the fashion show, and she’s always a supporter of that. I can only say great things about her.”
