Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Cabral made her hosting debut for a good cause as MC of the 3rd annual Kevin Kelly Salon Fashion show Thursday night (Aug. 10) at Addison Park, raising $10,000 for 5 Under Forty, a nonprofit providing medical, beauty, wellness and educational funded services to women under the age of 40 who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or have a BRCA mutation.

Cabral set the tone to “do good” early in the evening, leading the audience in a toast before the fashion show, which highlighted looks from local businesses GEMS Boutique, House of Luxe, Bijoux Boutique and more.
“Philanthropy is something that I am extremely passionate about, and with this new platform I can do so many amazing things, and I am extremely humbled and proud that Kevin Kelly invited me here tonight,” she told the crowd. “Full disclosure, I have never done anything like this before. When you are in my world, you do these things called appearances. You go, you wave, you take a photo. I’m the captain of the ship this evening, and I’m actually hosting this.”
Kelly, a bigger than life personality that strives “to collaborate with different artists that want to support and want to help make it bigger,” said he learned about the charity from one of his clients at his salon in Keyport.
“We were actually spontaneously out to eat and they were out to eat with her and they introduced us and kind of the stars just aligned and we were like, this just sounds great,” he told 1071 The Boss. “What they stood for, it was all beauty. It was very into what the salon was into and, and perks of just kind of having women feel great all around. And I think that is really hard for people to get through a hard time. And I think being able to be beautiful, like losing your eyebrows, losing your hair, it’s such a special, special thing being able to have that back and what they do is just amazing.”
Speaking to 1071 The Boss before the event, Cabral praised 5 Under Forty and its mission to aid women diagnosed with breast cancer.
“This is wonderful charity event, and the organization’s amazing,” she said. “Tonight, it’s about the fashion show and getting as much money from everybody as we can.”

“I just met Kevin tonight. Oh my God, I love him. And he’s so young,” she said of the owner, who started in the salon business when he was just 18. “I was like, how old are you? I wasn’t expecting him to be so young. He should be so proud of all his accomplishments. 25 years old. Look at what he’s doing.”
Surveying the room of guests, including Lauren Sorrentino of Jersey Shore, taking in the cocktail hour and bidding on raffle prizes that included a Louis Vuitton bag, packages from Dr. Lombardi, a Dyson Air Wrap and other goodies, Cabral said the evening off to a great start.
“All I see is bling and rhinestones and diamonds. And my brain is an overload right now. And I’m loving every second of it,” she said. “Totally Jersey Delicious. So I love everything about what I see.”
At press time, the event raised $3,605, not including proceeds from ticket sales and raffle tickets.
