New Jersey Pizza Festival Coming to Monmouth Park Race Track

The Jersey Eats: NJ Pizza Festival will give pizza lovers everywhere a chance to sample slices from some of the best in the state, Saturday, June 22 noon to 6 p.m. at Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport.

Pizzeria’s from Jackson, Matawan, Manalapan, Toms River, Brick, Hoboken and more will be on hand selling half slices for $2, according to event sponsor NJ.com. There will also be additional menu items available for purchase.

The festival also offers live entertainment including music, horse racing, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Here is a list of participating Pizza Parlors:

• Amano Pizza, shop with locations in Matawan and South Amboy offering pizza, wings, heroes and Italian entrees
• Amore Pizza by Jack Calandra, a Nutley-based restaurant with a variety of classic pies
• Angeloni’s, Caldwell pizzeria known for its crispy, “thinny thin” crust pizza
• Brooklyn Square Pizza, home of the famous upside-down pizza with locations in Jackson, Manalapan and Toms River
• Tony Boloney’s, coined as “not your grandpa’s pizza joint” offering crazy pizza toppings in Atlantic City, Hoboken, Jersey City and Margate
• Pizza Veloce, offering Neapolitan Pizza made from imported ingredients
• Il Forno a Legna, serving Neapolitan wood-fired pizza in Rahway
• The Doughfather Pizzeria and Ristorante, offering with its brick-oven, thin crust pizza “you can’t refuse”
• Piattino, serving stone fired Artisan pizza and other Italian classic out of Mendham and Summit
• Culto Italiano, offering Neapolitan pizza, sandwiches and more at its Bergenfield location and pizza truck
• The Sauce Oceanport, pizzeria serving regular, bar pies, Sicilian, Detroit and square-style pies
• Bella’s Pizzeria, Long Branch pizzeria with pizza, sandwiches, calzones and more
• Bucky’s, buzzing pizza pop up pushing sourdough pies
• Pie Oh My, pizza truck with a shop opening soon in Fairfield, known for catering throughout New Jersey and New York
• Nino’s Coal Fired Pizza, Italian-style eatery located in Brick, offering traditional and specialty pizza

Tickets can be purchased online – a discounted price of $15 for general admission. Tickets are also available the day of at the door, but only for general admission at $20. Rain date June 23, 2024.
