Manalapan Helps Neighbors in Need With ‘Turkey Time’ Drive
The Manalapan community is once again coming together for the annual ‘Turkey Time’ Thanksgiving Basket Drive, collecting food and monetary donations to help neighbors in need this holiday season.
This year’s drive is partnering with the Manalapan Soccer Club, Manalapan PBA Local 229, Englishtown PBA Local 166, the Gordons Corner Fire Department and Rita Havey to provide meals to families in Manalapan and across Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex Counties. All baskets are set for delivery on November 19.
The drive–organized by Manalapan resident Jamie Bruno–is asking for donations of a complete basket or single food item or a $50 donation to sponsor a family. Families may also be nominated to receive a basket as well.
Items needed include: Turkey or Ham, Gravy, Boxed Mashed Potatoes, Canned Veggies (corn, green beans, etc.), Boxed Stuffing, Mac & Cheese, Cornbread or Corn Muffin Mix, Canned Yams and Marshmallows, Pasta and Sauce, Juice, Canned Fruits, Desserts, Aluminum Roasting Pans, Paper Products and baskets for the items.
The items may be dropped off at the following businesses: Gordons Corner Fire House, Manalapan Township Municipal Building, A-Top Roofing and Construction (137 Freehold Road, Manalapan), Studio 455 Hair Salon (455 Route 9, Englishtown), Advanced Wellness in Marlboro, Century 21 Mack Morris and Rita Havey (46 Bloomfield Road). Checks may be made payable to Manalapan Soccer Club.
