Kurt Cobain Amp and Hair, Eddie Van Halen Guitar, Up for Auction
If you ever wanted to possess a piece of Kurt Cobain’s hair, now is your chance with a new auction launching today.
Nirvana fans can also snap up Kurt’s stage-used Marshall 1960B 4×12 speaker cabinet (featured in Nirvana’s “Live and Loud” video), six strands of his hair, accompanied by photos and an impeccable lineage of provenance—and a Nirvana group-signed blue Stratocaster-style guitar.
The auction–run by Iconic Auction’s Amazing Music Auction (Vol. 1)–will also include personally owned, staged-used or signed musical memorabilia from artists like Eddie Van Halen, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and Led Zeppelin.
A portion of proceeds from the auction will benefit Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music touring and venue crews who are facing hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As COVID-19 continues to put many concerts on pause, Crew Nation works to provide monetary grants to crew members during the pandemic and beyond.
