Keith Richards Surprises Audience at Country Music Hall of Fame

Keith Richards showed up for a surprise performance Sunday night (Oct. 20) at the Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Nashville, MSN.com reports.

Richards joined Elvis Costello, Post Malone; bluegrass pioneer Del McCoury; Americana artist Lucinda Williams, Vince Gill and Emmylou Harris at annual Medallion Ceremony 

Also at the ceremony: Eric Church, Blake Shelton, and Brad Paisley performing in honor of the 2024 inductees: “innovative chicken-pickin’ “guitarist James Burton, Florida’s John Anderson, and singer-songwriter Toby Keith, who died in February.

Richard’s arrival was kept well under wraps until Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young announced Richards to the stage.

Richards joined  Gill and Harris, and Rolling Stones drummer Steve Jordan to perform “I Can’t Dance,” a Tom T. Hall song recorded by Gram Parsons in 1973. 

“We made it, James,” Richards said to Burton, seated in the front row.
