Journey Announces New Album Title

The new Journey album will be called “Freedom,” founder Neal Schon revealed on Twitter.

“I wanted to stick true artistically to the times and values of older albums where every track means something and it’s meant to be played from top to bottom and take you on a ride…no pun intended,” he wrote. “JOURNEY FREEDOM.”

The Freedom tour kicks with Toto kicks off Feb. 22 in Pittsburgh, with a stop at the Prudential Center Feb. 27.

The 15-song album features the pandemic-themed single, “The Way We Used To Be,” from June 2021. It is the band’s first new studio album featuring Randy Jackson and Narada Michael Walden.
