John Lennon Box Set Arrives Oct. 9

The late John Lennon would have turned 80 on Oct. 9, and to honor his legacy comes the release of a new box set,  Gimme Some Truth: The Ultimate Mixes.

The set features 36 tracks, produced by Sean Ono Lennon and executive-produced by Yoko Ono Lennon. It includes a remix of “”Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)”, which was originally announced as a Record Store Day release.

In the foreward of the 124- page book that comes with the Deluxe Edition, Yoko writes, “John was a brilliant man with a great sense of humor and understanding. He believed in being truthful and that the power of the people will change the world. And it will.”

Gimme Some Truth is available in a variety of formats: CD, LP, a double CD, four LPs, streaming, digital and a Deluxe Edition Box Set. It was mixed using vintage analog equipment and mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
