Elton John Reveals Medical Issue on Social Media

Elton John is fighting an eye infection that has affected his vision, he revealed on social media.

“Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye,” he writes. “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”

He continued “I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing recovery so far.”

Elton said he was in good hands and thanked th medical professionals that looked after him in the summer months.

The Rocket Man’s forthcoming documentary,  Elton John: Never Too Late, is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

He will attend a screening at the New York Film Festival next month. The film will also screen at the BFI London Film Festival. It will debut on Disney+ on Dec. 13.
