Bruce Springsteen Road Diary Release Date; Stand Up for Heroes Appearance Announced
The upcoming Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band tour documentary, Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, is set to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ Oct. 25.
“Our new film Road Diary will take you on a journey from behind the scenes at rehearsals to shows that we performed all around the world this year,” The Boss shared in a video on social media. “You’ll get to experience a little bit of the fun and magic that we get to experience every night.”
Canda will get a first look at the film, directed by Springsteen’s longtime collaborator Thom Zimny, at the Toronto Film Festival, which runs Sept. 5-15.
Springsteen has several appearances lined up-including stops in Washington D.C., Baltimore, Sea. Hear. Now. in Asbury Park on Sept. 15 and trying his hand at telling jokes with wife, Patti Scialfa, at the 18th annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit, happening Nov. 11 at David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York.
The event, presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival, goes on sale this Friday, and will also feature appearances by comedians Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart and Jim Gaffigan, as well as Norah Jones and DJ Questlove. Inspiring moments and the remarkable stories of resilience and service of the men and women who have served in our nation’s military will also be highlighted throughout the evening.
SUFH raises awareness and funds for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, whose mission is to ensure that our nation’s veterans, service members, and their families — those who stood for us — have stable and successful futures.
“For 17 years, at each Stand Up for Heroes, I’ve been impressed to see so many come together to honor the bravery and resilience of our veterans,” said Bob Woodruff, ABC Correspondent and Co-Founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. “Our 18th event will be another outstanding tribute to those who served and a reminder to all of us of the debt we owe them and their families for their service and sacrifices.”
