Bruce Springsteen Postpones September Shows
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are postponing all performances in September as Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease, according to a post on his social media pages.
Tomorrow’s show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. is among the dates postponed.
Springsteen, under advisement of his medical advisors, will postpone the rest of the dates through Sept. 29.
Peptic ulcer disease (PUD) is a break in the inner lining of the stomach, the first part of the small intestine, or sometimes the lower esophagus. An ulcer in the stomach is called a gastric ulcer, according to WebMD.
“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce.”
Springsteen previously postponed two shows in Philadelphia, rescheduled to August of next year.
