Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon Set for Central Park Concert

It’s official–Bruce Springsteen will be performing in Central Park in New York City as part of record mogul Clive Davis’ homecoming concert.

Also on the lineup as confirmed by Mayor Bill de Blasio--Paul Simon and Oscar winning American Idol star Jennifer Hudson.

“This is going to be one of the greatest Central Park concerts in history,” de Blasio said. “This is something for the ages.”

Springsteen on Broadway,” reopened Saturday and will run through Sept. 4. August 21 has remained open on the schedule.

Davis signed Springsteen to Columbia in 1972, and worked with Simon & Garfunkel and Simon as a solo artist during his years at that label. Later, he signed Hudson to J Records. Hudson went on to win an Academy Award for her performance in “Dreamgirls.”
