Bruce Springsteen Debuts Trailer for ‘Road Diary’ Documentary

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are sharing a first look at the documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, set to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on October 25.

The film –directed by Thom Zimny--will feature “the most in-depth look ever at the creation of the band’s legendary live performances, including footage of rehearsals, backstage moments, rare archival clips and personal reflections from Springsteen himself,” according to a statement.

“Since I was 16, playing live’s been a deep and lasting part of who I am, and how I justify my existence here on Earth,” Springsteen says in the official trailer.

The clip shows Springsteen on stage in different eras, and a voiceover intones that “when the world shut down” he made the promise that he would throw the “biggest party” when the band returned to action.

In other news, George Stephananopoulos recently interviewed Springsteen at the Stone Pony. That will air in a prime-time special on Sunday, Oct. 20, on ABC: “Bruce Springsteen: Backstage and Backsteets.”
