Bon Jovi Video For ‘It’s My Life’ Hits 1 Billion Views
Bon Jovi has now joined the billionaire’s club–with YouTube Views.
The video for the band’s hit, “It’s My Life,” surpassed a billion views on the video channel. The song was released as a single in 2000, but didn’t hit YouTube until 2009.
The video was directed by Wayne Isham. Isham had worked on previous Bon Jovi tracks, including “Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night”, “In These Arms” and “Bed Of Roses”. The song he song peaked at 33 on the US’ Billboard Hot 100 chart but hit Number One in several European countries, as well as Number Three in the UK Singles Chart.
The video continues the story of Tommy and Gina–first introduced in “Living On A Prayer”– with Tommy (Will Estes) being ordered by his mom to take out the trash while his friend Gina (Unreal and Roswell star Shiri Appleby) pleads with him to meet her at the 2nd Street Tunnel in Los Angeles to catch the Bon Jovi concert instead.
