Bon Jovi Announces 40th Anniversary Commemorative Monopoly Game
“Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200!”
The hottest game for the Christmas season for Bon Jovi fans is a 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of Monopoly based on the band’s career, the group announced on social media.
The game–which highlights band history with a trip through Asbury Park and tour dates- comes with unique collectable tokens representing the band, including a 40th anniversary Heart & Dagger, the state of New Jersey, the Bon Jovi Skull logo, Jon Bon Jovi’s acoustic guitar, their Diamond Superman logo and the “Have A Nice Day” smirk.
In other 40th Anniversary news, guitarist Richie Sambora shared in a recent interview that a documentary is in the works.
“There’s a documentary that’s being done about the band and stuff that I’ve participated in, and people want to come see us play, and it’s going to make everybody happy. I mean, essentially, that’s why you do it at this point. I think that we wrote a lot of songs that changed a lot of people’s lives just by letting them have a good time. I know that’s what music did to me… kept me company. And I hope that I can reflect that in what I do,” Sambora told People Magazine.
Also available just in time for the new year is the 40th anniversary 2024 calendar featuring over 50 rarely seen or used images of the band, including a centerfold.
Both items are available for preorder now. The Monopoly game is set to ship November 17, while the calendar will ship December 22.
