Billy Joel to Perform at The Grammy Awards

Billy Joel will make a special appearance at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, the Recording Academy announced.

The news comes days after the announcement that The Piano Man will release his first song in decades, “Turn the Lights Back On,” on Feb. 1.

Other performers include: s Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo (who references Joel’s “Uptown Girl” in the song, “Deja Vu”) , and Travis Scott.

Joel has been nominated for 23 Grammy Awards throughout his career, and he’s taken home five trophies. His first two Grammy victories came in 1979 for The Stranger’s “Just the Way You Are.”

His next appearance at Madison Square Garden is set for Feb. 9.
