Billy Idol to Celebrate ‘Rebel Yell’ on Top of the Empire State Building

Billy Idol and Steve Stevens will scream “more, more, more” to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Rebel Yell from high atop the Empire State Building tomorrow (April 30).

Billy Idol will continue the celebration of his sophomore album with a performance at the iconic landmark with a special lighting ceremony on Tuesday, April 30. The pair is also going to perform a live acoustic set for a select group of fans. 

The Rebel Yell 40th anniversary deluxe edition is out now, featuring an album of previously unreleased songs and demos. The expanded edition also includes the Poolside remix of Idol’s hit song “Eyes Without a Face,” plus a never-before-released cover of the Rose Royce single “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”

One of those previously unreleased songs, “Best Way Out of Here,” from the album’s original recording sessions, is now available on digital outlets.
