Band Aid to Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’

It’s (almost) Christmas time. and no need to be afraid of hearing the annual holiday favorite of Band Aid‘s “Do They Know it’s Christmas” on the radio.

The all-star charity record –led by Bob Geldoff that featured Bono, Sting, Boy George, Midge Ure, Duran Duran and more–will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special release due this month.

According to the BBC, the 40th anniversary “ultimate mix” will be released Nov. 25. A new video featuring an archival appearnce of the late David Bowie introducing the singers will also be included. The song will be part of a compilation album due out Nov. 29. 

The “ultimate mix” will include Sting, Bono, Boy GeorgeSam SmithColdplay’s Chris MartinHarry StylesEd Sheeran, the late George Michael and the late Sinéad O’Connor, singing to music recorded over the years by Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, members of RadioheadBlur and more.
