Asbury Park Announces Holiday Event, Tree Lighting Schedule
The holiday season is upon us, and once we have finished our turkey and hit the stores for the Black Friday deals, it is time to deck those halls, trim those trees and get into the spirit of the season.
Hanukkah is early this year, beginning at sundown on Sunday, November 28, so it’s time for towns to light the Menorah, and the Asbury Park recreation department will celebrate on Dec. 1 with a ceremony at 6 p.m. at Kennedy Park. The rest of the week will be festive, with the tree lighting at Fireman’s Park happening at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 and the The Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
Check out the schedule below:
- Dec. 1: The Asbury Park Menorah Lighting – 6 p.m. in Kennedy Park (intersection of Cookman Ave and Grand Ave).
- Dec. 3: Fireman’s Park Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. – Main Street & Sunset Avenue.
