Just four days after her audition aired on American Idol, 16-year-old rocker Casey Bishop is already a front runner to win the entire competition.
The Estero, Florida sophomore wowed judges Luke Bryan (who predicted she will win the whole competition), Katy Perry and Lionel Richie with an unexpected cover of Motley Crüe ‘s “Live Wire,” and even got the attention of the band, who tweeted out their support on Twitter the night of the show.
“I did not expect any of this, honestly,” Bishop tells 1071 The Boss midday host Michele Amabile in one of her first radio interviews of the year.

The teen was even more excited to see that she is now on the Crüe’s radar.
“That was crazy,” she said. “If I got to meet Nikki Sixx, oh my gosh.”
Bishop plans to bring even more rock to Idol if she progresses through Hollywood Week, and name checked Season 10 alum Haley Reinhart as an Idol she looks up to for inspiration, and would love to sing with her.
“If that happens, I would lose my mind,” she said. “I love her so much.”
