Happy Singles Awareness Day: It’s Raining Men in Hoboken

It’s Singles Awareness Day, and according the the U.S. Census Bureau, Hoboken ranks second on the list for singles with 58% of the residents ready to mingle.

Why is Hoboken so happening? It’s a college town, but it’s also a short ride away from New York for singles with jobs in the city. Also amongst suburban areas, Hoboken is raining men ranked #2 for single guys, while women ranked #7.

New Jersey and New York did not make the list for states with the most single men, but Pennsylvania ranked at #9. For women, New York and Pennsylvania made the list at #9 and #10.

Detroit tops the list of cities, with 71 % of residents listed as single.  Cleveland is next at 69%.  The Cleveland suburb of Euclid, Ohio ranked as the #1 suburb at 62%.

Looking for men? Vermont and Alaska have the most available suitors, while Mississippi and Georgia have the most single women . Miami leads the list for the most divorcees.
