Robert “Kool” Bell Talks Sea. Hear. Now, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Legacy of Kool and The Gang on 1071 The Boss

The Sea. Hear. Now. Festival kicks off tomorrow in Asbury Park , and it will be a “Celebration” on the sand when Kool and the Gang hits the stage on the Surf Stage at 4 p.m.

The band has a lot to celebrate this year, as the next New Jerseyans going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 19 in a big ceremony in Cleveland.

“It’s about time,” Robert “Kool” Bell told 1071 The Boss midday host Michele Amabile.

Born in Ohio, Bell grew up in Jersey City, and is proud to be representing the Garden State at the festival, as he group is celebrates nearly 60 years in the music business. Kool and the Gang is also presenting a brand new Las Vegas residency at Las Vegas Westgate Casino and Resort on Oct. 4-5.
