On this 'Make a Difference Monday', we are talking to Todd Van Aken from the New Jersey Natural Gas NJ SAVEGREEN Program!
New Jersey Natural Gas is focused on ensuring a cleaner energy future for New Jersey through their SAVEGREEN program! Colder weather is driving an increase in natural gas usage, which is results in higher bills. One of the most cost-effective ways customers can lower their energy bills is by reducing their energy usage, and the SAVEGREEN programs put energy efficiency within reach for their customers by removing the barriers to energy efficiency with incentives to help them make those beneficial energy improvements more affordable and help them decrease their energy usage and costs.
What programs are available?
- Residential – Whole Home Energy Assessments, HVAC and water heating incentives (includes rebates and our On-Bill Repayment Program), Whole Home Energy Solutions which includes insulation, seal up and can also include equipment upgrades.
- The most popular avenues that customers take advantage of are incentives for replacing their HVAC and water heating equipment with high-efficiency models.
- We have rebates and 0% financing of up to $25,000 for qualifying natural gas equipment, including water heaters, boilers, furnaces and heat pumps to name a few
- And what’s great about our 0% financing is payments are super convenient for our customers since it is billed right to their natural gas account
- These incentives are designed to minimize the upfront, out of pocket expenses for our customers to make energy efficiency projects more affordable. Not sure where to start? Our energy consultants are ready to help identify the program that best meets the needs of our customers.
- Comfort Partners, Income Qualified, LMI enhanced rebates (details below)
Sometimes circumstances like unexpected financial hardship or limited income makes it difficult for customers to pay their energy bills. NJNG offers no-interest, flexible payment arrangements, free home weatherization programs and grants to help customers maintain natural gas service and a comfortable home at a time when they need it most.
