Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen Nominated for Emmy Awards

Congratulations to Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen, who were both nominated for Emmy Awards today.

McCartney was nominated for his participation in Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool, while Springsteen was nominated for Outstanding Variety  Special for “Springsteen on Broadway.”

McCartney’s participation in the James Corden segment also received three more nods for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming and Outstanding Sound Mixing.

If Springsteen wins his Emmy, he will become an EGOT winner (someone who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award).

The 71st Annual Emmy Awards will air live from the Microsoft Center in Los Angeles Sept. 22 on Fox.
