Watch Duran Duran Kill it at the Billboard Music Awards
Duran Duran returned to action in a big way with a medley at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night (May 23).
The band -singer Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and drummer Roger Taylor–looked especially dapper with an entertaining set that included “Notorius,” “Hungry Like The Wolf,” and the new single, “Invisible,” with Blur guitarist Graham Coxon laying down the licks.
Duran Duran will release their 15th studio album this fall, the band announced last week. The album–titled Future Past–it their first with their new label, BMG, and is due Oct. 22.
The lead song — “Invisible,”– centers on a dysfunctional relationship, and features Coxon on guitar.
“It kind of started with the beat, front man Simon Le Bon told BBC Radio 2. “It’s got a very, very assertive drum track, it’s really all about the rhythm. I just had to fit in a melody around that, really.”
