U2 Announces Eight More Dates in Las Vegas
U2 have added eight more dates to their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, the band announced today.
U2: UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere at The Venetian is set to kick off September 29 for a run of 25 shows. The new additions all take place in December – the 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15 and 16.
Construction on The Sphere has gone up $125 million, which means Madison Square Garden’s cost to build the new state-of-the-art venue has increased to $2.3 billion, according to Billboard. The cost is now $1 billion over budget to build the venue.
Tickets start at $140 and will reflect all-in pricing. This means the ticket price listed is the full out-of-pocket price inclusive of taxes and fees. The larger capacity at Sphere allows for 60% of tickets to be priced under $300 and there will also be a limited number of premium priced tickets per show.
A limited number of tickets will be available during a general onsale starting Friday, May 19th at Noon ET at Ticketmaster.com. On sale times may vary, check the Ticketmaster listing for more information.
