Tom Petty Wildflowers Documentary Now Available on YouTube Originals

Tom Petty fans can now view the feature-length documentary Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of Wildflowers with the world premiere today (Nov. 11) on  YouTube Originals.

Produced by Peter Afterman with executive producers Dan BraunAdria Petty and Director Mary Wharton, the 89-minute movie captures the period of 1993-1995 when Petty worked with legendary producer Rick Rubin for the first time.

The film also includes never-before-seen footage drawn from a newly discovered archive of 16mm film in addition to new interviews with album co-producer and Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell, Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and many more.

The picture also digs deeper into 2020’s critically acclaimed certified gold reissue Wildflowers & All The Rest collection, distributed via Warner Records.

Petty passed away at age 66 of an accidental medication overdose on October 2, 2017.
