Paul McCartney, ZZ Top, David Byrne, Flea and More up for Grammy Awards This Sunday

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are this Sunday (March 14), and there are quite a few rockers up for statues.

And the nominees are: Paul McCartney for best box set with Flaming Pie, Beastie Boys‘ Beastie Boys Story and ZZ Top‘s That Little Ol’ Band from Texas for Best Music Film, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea‘s Acid for the Children audiobook for Best Spoken Word Album, David Byrne‘s American Utopia on Broadway soundtrack for Best Musical Theater Album.

The festivities begin tonight (March 12) at 8 p.m. with The Recording Academy’s’ virtual concert benefitting MusicCares, “Music on a Mission” featuring Paul McCartneyRingo StarrMick Fleetwood and other rock stars.  It’ll also include both live and previously unseen archival performances from past Person of the Year events, including clips of Bruce Springsteen, as well as Stevie Nicks duetting with the late Tom Petty.

The Grammy Awards will be broadcast at 8 p.m on CBS.
