MusiCares Announces Auction With Items by David Lee Roth, Pete Townshend and More

MusicCares annual charity auction, which traditionally coincides with Grammy Awards festivities, is now a virtual event for 2021, with items courtesy of The Who’s Pete Townshend, David Lee RothQueen‘s Brian MayBob DylanBillie Eilish, Foo Fighters, Chris CornellMotley Crue‘s Nikki Sixx,  and Joe Walsh up for auction.

In addition to hand printed lyrics of Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” fans can bid on:  a blue jumpsuit and a long beige coat he worn onstage by Townsend during The Who’s 2019 tour, a  black jacket embroidered with rhinestones that Roth wore during Van Halen‘s 2007-2008 trek and a a signed black long-sleeved shirt  courtesy of May along with an autographed photo of him performing at the 2012 Olympics. The Foo Fighters are contributing drumheads and other items. For James Bond fans, Eilish and actor Daniel Craig are offering a lithograph of the single artwork of the Bond theme “No Time to Die,” signed by both stars. Sixx is offering a signed bass guitar, and Walsh is gifting a Gibson.
