Live Streams of Darlene Love, ‘Jagged Little Pill’ Events to Benefit The Basie

Enjoying live music in 2020 has been challenging, but the Count Basie Center of the Ars will host two live streaming events featuring Darlene Love and the Broadway cast of Jagged Little Pill this holiday season.

Love’s annual ‘Love for the Holidays’ show will happen with a virtual concert Dec. 5 live from  live from Sony Hall in New York City at 8 p.m. Love–a favorite at the shore and E Street Band icon Steven Van Zandt–is expected to perform her No. 1 holiday hit “Christmas Baby (Please Come Home)” and Van Zandt penned “All Alone At Christmas” (featuring the E Street Band and the Miami Horns), as well as her smashes “He’s A Rebel” and “The Boy I’m Gonna Marry.”

The Broadway cast of Jagged Little Pill –a play based on the music of Alanis Morissette-will reunite for one night only – and for the first time in ten months – to present ‘Jagged Live in NYC: A Broadway Reunion Concert” on December 16. The cast will perform a preview with a pre-recorded set at the virtual Macy’s Day Parade on Nov. 26. The cast includes lizabeth Stanley, Celia Rose Gooding, Sean Allan Krill, Derek Klena, Lauren Patten, Kathryn Gallagher, and Antonio Cipriano.

Tickets for Darlene Love are priced at $35, allow the viewer to watch live on Saturday, December 5th at 8pm, or on demand for 48 hours after. Tickets for ‘Jagged Little Pill’ , priced at $27, are available now through an exclusive presale at www.thebasie.org with the offer code JLPresale.
