John Fogerty Celebrates 75th Birthday with Lockdown Release

John Fogerty celebrated his 75th birthday today with the release of a present to his fans.

Fogerty is releasing a Digital EP–Fogerty’s Factory–featuring performances he has recorded with three of his children at home. The cover is an ode to the classic Creedence Clearwater Revival album, Cosmos Factory.

Our family got together and decided we would spread some joy with music in these trying times,” John said. “We recreated Cosmo’s Factory and it became Fogerty’s Factory.”

Included are six new versions of CCR hits and his solo ode to baseball, “Centerfield.” The performances are culled from sessions John and his family members — sons Shane and Tyler, and daughter Kelsy — did that were provided to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Fogerty has been posting songs on his YouTube channel and social media site since the beginning of the Covid-19 crises.
