Grateful Dead Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary with New Box Set; 1071 The Boss Has Your Dead & Co. Tickets

It’s hard to believe it’s been 50 years since The Grateful Dead released the triple album, Europe ’72 — and the band is celebrating in a big way.

On July 29 the band will put out the larges vinyl box set in its history with Lyceum 1972: The Complete Recordings, a limited-edition 24-LP package encapsulating the group’s entire final four shows of the ’72 trek, which took place at London’s Lyceum Theatre.

Fans can also grab a newly remastered 50th anniversary edition of the Europe ’72 album released as a two-CD set, a three-LP  collection, and via digital formats and streaming. A special “Bozo or Bolo” limited edition version of the album pressed on psychedelic rainbow vinyl will be released on June 3 exclusively at Dead.net.

In addition, a four-CD set titled Lyceum Theatre: May 26, 1972, featuring a recording of the very last show of the European tour, will be released on July 29.

If that isn’t enough, listen to Michele Amabile all next week starting at 10 a.m. for your chance to win a pair of tickets to see Dead & Co. at Citi Field in Queens on July 15
