Bruce Springsteen will be on CBS Sunday Morning to Discuss Forthcoming Nebraska Book

Bruce Springsteen may be in Barcelona today (April 28), but on Sunday he will be on television in a CBS segment talking about a new book written about the making of his album, “Nebraska.”

Springsteen and book author Warren Zanes will appear on CBS Sunday Morning with correspondent Jim Axelroad April 30 discussing Zane’s book, “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.” The show airs between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

“If I had to pick out one album and say, ‘This is going to represent you 50 years from now,’ ” Springsteen tells Axelrod, “I’d pick Nebraska.”

“Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska” will be released on May 2.  In researching the book, Zanes took a trip to the Colts Neck house where Springsteen wrote the album with The Boss himself.

“I think in your 20s, a lot of things work for you,” he says. “But in your 30s, your 30s is where you be — where you start to become an adult. And suddenly I looked around and said, ‘Where is everything? Where is my home? Where is my partner? Where are the sons or daughters that I thought I might have someday?’ … I realized none of those things are there,” Springsteen tells Axelrod. “So I said, ‘OK, the first thing I’ve gotta do as soon as I get home is remind myself of who I am and where I came from. ”
