It’s been 25 years since Stone Temple Pilots released their debut album, Core, and the band is celebrating with the release of a 25th Anniversary Collection, out in stores now.
The collection includes demos, b-sides and live tracks. One of the tracks is an acoustic version of “Plush” played by STP’s late frontman Scott Weiland and guitarist Dean DeLeo as a “first take” before the full band played a 1993 edition of MTV’s Headbangers Ball.
The collection also includes the full 1993 MTV Unplugged set as well as the Live at Castaic Lake Natural Amphitheatre show.
The band is also offering fans a special treat through the FYE stores: a signed test pressing of the record signed by the current members of the band, including Point Pleasant natives Robert and Dean DeLeo.
