Seaside 911: Seaside Heights Fire and First Aid Squads to Appear on NBC Show

Seaside is about to make a return to television, but not with the Jersey Shore cast on MTV.

The Seaside Heights Fire Department and Tri-Boro First Aid squad were filmed last week for a developing NBC Pilot, according to local newspaper Lavalette/Seaside Shorebeat.

The town council was paid $20,000 on behalf of its fire department for their work in assisting the production team for the show, Emergence, starring Donald Faison and Allison Tolman. The crew put in a 14-hour day filming the pilot,

“The fire company definitely needed a little shot in the arm cash-wise, and this was a nice thing for them,” Mayor Anthony Vaz, also a volunteer firefighter for the department.

The show, according to Deadline Hollywood, opens with a mystery, as a police chief takes in a young child found near a questionable accident site “of which she has no memory of what has happened.”

“The investigation draws her into a conspiracy larger than she ever imagined, and the child’s identity is at the center of it all,” the Deadline article explains.
