Paul McCartney to Receive Award From New York Law School
Paul McCartney will add another award to his name this month.
The former Beatle–who once put out an album, Pipes of Peace–is set to receive the International Advocate for Peace Award May 28 at the commencement ceremony for Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City at Lincoln Center.
McCartney was chosen by the students for creating music and art that celebrates “love and understanding, empathy and connection — the foundations of peace that are the heart of the human struggle.”
This isn’t his first honor from a school of higher education. McCartney earned an honorary doctorate in music from Yale in 2008.
McCartney kicks off his “Freshen Up” tour on May 23.
